Understanding Depression
Depression may involve changes in mood, interest, energy, sleep, concentration, and self-worth. The experience is different for each person. An assessment considers the symptoms as well as your history, health, relationships, and circumstances.
Making Sense of the Experience
Psychotherapy may include discussion of mood, self-perception, relationships, and experiences of loss or change. The work may also focus on practical difficulties: maintaining routines, reconnecting with people, or taking manageable steps toward activities that matter to you.
Developing a Treatment Plan
Psychotherapy, medication, or a combination may be considered following assessment. Preferences, previous treatment, and current needs help shape that discussion. The plan can be revisited as your experience changes.
